Addressing Corpus Christi’s Mental Health Needs
Addressing the mental health needs of Corpus Christi and the wider Nueces County area is the top concern of our team at Oceans Behavioral Hospital Corpus Christi. In 2024, an estimated 19.81 per 100,000 residents in Nueces County experienced suicidal ideation. Suicidal ideation and other indicators of poor mental health should always be taken seriously. It’s our priority to guide community members through severe mental health crises and instill in them the skills to find long-term stability.
We’re here to meet the mental health needs of the people of Nueces County. We will be here every step of the way.
Oceans Behavioral Hospital Corpus Christi occupies a 42-bed, 30,000 square-foot unit within CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Shoreline. The future Intensive Outpatient Program will further extend the program’s reach and provide ongoing treatment to individuals managing behavioral health challenges.
Our treatment programs are focused on healing and long-term recovery with the goal of helping patients return to their lives. Whether our patients are experiencing common mental health challenges like depression and anxiety or another behavioral health concern complicated by a dual diagnosis, our staff treats every patient with dignity and respect on their path to healing.
